EDUCATION

The initiative set forth below is a model from which others can follow and learn. If you are interested in obtaining any of our materials for your classroom or community, email to jangorton@aol.com, or click here.

School-Based Initiatives

ACTCM has introduced several interactive learning tools in Chinese-American schools, including a documentary about TCM and the plight of the wild tiger, and WWF's Windows on the Wild educational curriculum. ACTCM's focus is in the middle and high school level.

Community-Based Initiatives

Having initiated in-school programs, ACTCM  then began working with a broad array of community groups such as Chinese culture groups, herbal retailers, Chinese-American youth organizations, and Chinese-American school associations, spreading the word in endangered species preservation through wildlife videos and our educational brochure.

Goals

To effect global change through local action, reducing marketplace demand for tiger and other endangered species parts and products worldwide.

Objectives

To provide useable information from which everyone can benefit, thereby quickly spreading valuable information and resources.
