The initiative set forth below is a model from which others can follow and learn. If you are interested in obtaining any of our materials for your classroom or community, email to jangorton@aol.com, or click here.
School-Based Initiatives ACTCM has introduced several interactive learning tools in Chinese-American schools, including a documentary about TCM and the plight of the wild tiger, and WWF's Windows on the Wild educational curriculum. ACTCM's focus is in the middle and high school level.
Community-Based Initiatives Having initiated in-school programs, ACTCM then began working with a broad array of community groups such as Chinese culture groups, herbal retailers, Chinese-American youth organizations, and Chinese-American school associations, spreading the word in endangered species preservation through wildlife videos and our educational brochure. |
