World Wildlife Fund

WWF is dedicated to protecting the world’s wildlife and their habitats and has more than 1 million members in the U.S. alone. Since its inception in 1961, WWF has invested in over 13,100 projects in 157 countries. WWF directs its conservation efforts towards three global goals:

  • Protecting Endangered Spaces

  • Saving Endangered Species

  • Addressing Global Threats

From working to save the giant panda, tiger, and rhino to helping establish and manage parks and reserves world-wide, WWF has been a conservation leader for 40 years. The organization leads global efforts to protect the world’s threatened wildlife and the habitats they need to survive. From the outset WWF has worked to protect endangered species to ensure that the world our children inherit will be home to rhinos, tigers, giant pandas, whales, and other wildlife species, as well as people. WWF is committed to protecting species from extinction, an event which diminishes the diversity of life on Earth with untold consequences for the web of life.
